North Central Region Name Change

May 01, 2024 – The North Central Region will be renamed the North Star Region, effective July 1.

During the North Central Provincial Council Meeting in February, delegates discussed and voted to change the name of the region to North Star.

The reason for the change was due to confusion between the North Central Province and North Central Region at national events and regional meetings. The North Star Region will comprise of all the same chapters as the North Central Region.

The North Star Region, is comprised of the chapters in Minnesota, North Dakota, the northern area of South Dakota (north of Interstate 90), and the northern portion of Wisconsin (north of the following: Interstate 90 at the Wisconsin/Minnesota border – including the metropolitan La Crosse area – east to Interstate 39 at Portage, then north to State Highway 29 (near Wausau) and east to Lake Michigan – excluding the metropolitan Green Bay area).

This change will take effect on July 1, 2024.
